What is the purpose of the 3D FXD Player?
The 3D FXD Interactive Media Player allows content produced from within Instant Effects Presenter to be viewed on systems not running Presenter, in much the same way Adobe’s Reader software allows content produced with their Acrobat authoring software to be viewed on systems not running their Acrobat product.
What type of files does the player play?
Files in the .FXD file format. FXD files contain all the information necessary to produce the same interactive viewing experience offered by Instant Effects Presenter and FXShow. However, FXD files are not editable, in much the same way PDF files cannot be edited in Adobe Reader.
How do you create .FXD files?
FXD files are created by publishing a presentation to this format from within Instant Effects Presenter or S3D Presenter. The format supports a flexible array of delivery options regarding additional content (videos, logos, product models). Additional content can be embedded directly in the FXD file, or it can be made available via a network file server.
How much does the player cost?
The player is free when running standard interactive presentations. Support for stereoscopic 3D output requires an additional license fee.
Does the player run on all computers?
No. The FXD Player only runs on computers running the Windows operating system and meeting a minimal set of
hardware requirements.
