Presenter and the FXD Player require a specific version of Microsoft DirectX in order to run efficiently. If your system doesn't have this version of DirectX available, you can download it from the links below. This download will not remove other versions of DirectX that may already be on your system. Rather, it will add the DirectX support required by Presenter or the 3DFXD Player to the components already installed on your system.

To install from the web (recommended), choose the first option above, then follow the prompts. We recommend you choose to "Run" the web installer rather than "Save" it.

The installation steps below are only necessary if you choose the Advanced option (useful when installing on multiple systems, or updating a system that is not directly connected to the internet)..

Advanced installation instructions: Click on the Download link in the Advanced option above, and choose to "Save" the file to a folder of your choice. After the download completes, choose "Run", or double-click on the file to start the installation.

When prompted, install the files in a folder of your choice. (We recommend "C:\DirectX".) Once the files have been installed, navigate to the installation folder and double-click on "DXSetup.exe". Follow the Microsoft prompts to complete the installation.
